EosLog Free Tools connector

EosLog Free Tools is a public MCP server that gives AI assistants EosLog's own sourced answers to common questions from small US service businesses: what to charge for a house cleaning, whether cleaning is taxable in a state, and where gas leaf blowers are banned. Each answer links to the free EosLog page it comes from. It needs no account and no sign-in, and every tool only reads.

Running a service business on EosLog? The EosLog connector works with your own schedule, jobs and invoices.

Server

TransportStreamable HTTP, stateless: each POST carries one JSON-RPC 2.0 message and gets one JSON response. Notifications get HTTP 202. There is no SSE stream, so a GET answers 405.
AuthenticationNone. No account, token or Authorization header is needed.

In Claude on the web or desktop, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Name it EosLog Free Tools, enter https://eoslog.com/mcp/free as the URL, and leave the OAuth fields empty. Then turn it on for a chat from the tools menu. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to allow custom connectors first.

Other MCP clients

Add a remote server with the URL https://eoslog.com/mcp/free, the Streamable HTTP transport (some clients call it HTTP), and no authentication.

Tools

Every tool is marked readOnlyHint: true and has no side effects. Results carry readable text plus the same facts as structuredContent. A bad input comes back as a result with isError: true and a message saying what is accepted.

estimate_house_cleaning_price: Estimate a house cleaning price

Prices one residential house cleaning visit with the math behind EosLog's free cleaning price calculator: time on site from the home's size and square footage, times a frequency factor and the cleaner's hourly rate, plus supplies, drive and add-ons, adjusted for the local market and rounded to $5. Returns the price, a low to high range, hours on site, a per square foot cross-check, the math, and a link that opens the calculator with these inputs so the user can adjust them. Every input is optional and has the calculator's default.

cleaning_sales_tax_by_state: Check if cleaning is taxable in a state

Says whether state sales tax (or the state's equivalent) applies to home (residential) and commercial cleaning services in one US state or DC, from EosLog's state by state reference. Each answer is what that state's own official pages say, with the official source links, the state base rate where the source states one, and the date it was checked. It is not tax advice and does not cover local taxes.

Example response text

Texas: sales tax on cleaning services (checked October 20, 2026)
Home (residential) cleaning: Taxable (Source names cleaning)
Summary: The Texas Comptroller says tax is due on the charge to clean a home, office, warehouse, garage, restaurant or any other building, and that maid and janitorial services should collect sales and use tax.
Conditions: There is no tax on a self-employed person who provides traditional household services as an employee of the household, and a maid service does not qualify. Items left for customers' use, such as paper towels and hand soap, can be bought with a resale certificate. Cleaning bought by a contractor or home builder for a new residential structure is not taxable.
State rate: 6.25% (state base rate only; local taxes not included)
Official sources:
- Cleaning and Janitorial Services (Publication 94-111), Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts: https://comptroller.texas.gov/taxes/publications/94-111.php
- Taxable Services (Publication 96-259, January 2026), Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts: https://comptroller.texas.gov/taxes/publications/96-259.php

This is what the state's own pages say, not tax advice. Local sales taxes are not covered; confirm with the state revenue department or a tax professional.

gas_leaf_blower_rules: Look up gas leaf blower rules

Lists adopted local laws that ban or restrict gas leaf blowers in one US state, or one city or town in it, from EosLog's sourced table: the rule, when it took or takes effect and any later phases, who is cited, the penalty, and the official sources with the date each row was checked. Also reports a state law that blocks local bans (Florida, Georgia, and Texas). Without a city it lists every place in the state briefly; pass city for the full row. A place with no row may still have a rule EosLog has not confirmed.

Example response text

Los Angeles, CA: gas leaf blower rule (Some zones)
Rule: Gas powered blowers may not be used within 500 feet of a residence at any time. The rule names gas blowers only.
In effect since: July 1, 1997
Equipment: Gas powered blowers. Not stated beyond that.
Who is cited: Both the person using the blower and the person who hired them, if any.
Penalty: Infraction, fine not to exceed $100.00.
Details: Los Angeles Municipal Code 112.04(c). Ordinance 171440 barred gas blowers within 500 feet of a residence after July 1, 1997, and exempted leaf vacuums at 45 dB(A) or less. Ordinance 171890 (1998) rewrote subsection (c): it has no leaf vacuum exemption, makes the person who hired the user liable along with the user, and sets the $100.00 infraction fine. The council district office says the law took effect in 1998 and enforcement has been limited. In January 2025 the City Council adopted a motion (Council File 24-0055) on enforcement and an education program. No new ordinance was found. South Coast AQMD offers rebates for electric blowers.

Data sources

  • House cleaning prices use the same constants and math as the cleaning price calculator, so the link in each result opens on the same price. The benchmarks behind it are cited in the cleaning pricing guide. Prices are estimates the user can adjust.
  • Sales tax on cleaning comes from Is cleaning taxable? Sales tax by state: 51 rows (the 50 states and DC), each read from an official state page, last checked October 20, 2026. It reports what each state's pages say. It is not tax advice and does not cover local taxes.
  • Gas leaf blower rules come from Gas leaf blower bans by city and state: 91 places with adopted rules plus the state laws that block local bans, each from an official source, last checked October 18, 2026. A place with no row may still have a rule we have not confirmed.
  • Free tools point to the quote and invoice generators, the price calculators on the tools page, and the template gallery. All are free and need no account.

Rate limit

60 requests a minute per IP address. Past that the server answers HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header saying when to try again.

Privacy

There is no account, and the tools ask for no personal data: their inputs are things like a home's size, a state or a city name. The server keeps no record of requests beyond standard request logs, which are handled as our privacy policy describes.
