Cleaning pricing questions, answered
How does this calculator price a cleaning job?
It estimates time on site from the bedroom and bathroom count, adjusts for your square footage, multiplies by your hourly target, adds supplies and drive time, then applies your market. Open the math panel under the result to see the full breakdown on your numbers.
Should I charge hourly or a flat rate for house cleaning?
Most established cleaning businesses quote a flat rate per visit. Customers prefer a known number, and a flat rate pays you for being fast instead of punishing it. Hourly still makes sense for first cleans and anything you cannot scope in advance. A common pattern is hourly for the first clean, then a flat recurring rate once you know the home.
Is the calculator free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and no account is required. You can generate a branded estimate PDF straight from the result and send it to your prospect. A free EosLog account is only for when you want to keep estimates, schedule the job, and invoice after it is done.
What should my cleaning price include?
Labor for everyone on the job, supplies and equipment wear, drive time, insurance and overhead, and margin for the business. If a price only covers labor, the business is paying to work. This calculator bakes supplies and drive time into its recommendation; the full pricing guide covers benchmark ranges by market.
