Do I need an account to generate an invoice?

No. Fill out the form and click Generate invoice. You'll get a PDF plus a private link you can download, share with your customer, or email to yourself. We keep the invoice for 90 days so that link keeps working, then delete it automatically. Import it into a free EosLog account if you want to keep and track it.

What format is the generated invoice?

A standard PDF (Letter size) with your company logo, a clean line-item table, calculated totals with tax and discount, payment terms, and your contact info in the header and footer. Print it, email it, or upload it anywhere.

Can I add my own logo to the invoice?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP file under 2MB and it appears in the header of the PDF. The logo is stored only alongside your generated invoice and is deleted with it after 90 days.

Should I separate labor from parts on a plumbing invoice?

Yes, almost always. The labor-versus-parts split is not cosmetic — in several states (Minnesota is the clearest example) repair labor is non-taxable when stated separately from parts, while combining the two into one charge makes the entire amount taxable. The right rule is your state's, and you find it by separating the two lines and reading what your department of revenue says about each.

Do I need to put my license number on a plumbing invoice?

In many states, yes. California is the strict example: the Contractors State License Board requires the license number on contracts, invoices, and advertising, with home improvement contracts over $500 carrying additional written-contract requirements. Even where your state is quieter about it, the license number on the invoice is a trust signal that costs nothing and tells the customer they hired a licensed plumber.

What payment terms should I put on a plumbing invoice?

Residential repair work is paid on completion or due on receipt in most markets — the customer is most ready to pay when the work is done and you are standing in front of them. Commercial and property-manager accounts pay on a cycle, so net 15 or net 30 with a late-fee clause is the cost of doing the work at all. Pick the term that fits the customer, and write it as a real due date ("Payment due by June 24") not a label.

Should I show the service call line even when I waive it?

Yes. A customer who sees "Service call and diagnostic: $99" credited against the repair reads it as a discount you gave them. A customer who never sees it assumes the visit was free and pushes harder on every other line. The fee is doing work whether or not you collect it, so show it on the invoice and credit it in the same place.
