What goes on a cleaning quote

Price the clean by home size and type of clean: a recurring clean and a first deep clean are separate lines, and the first deep clean costs more. List add-ons as their own lines so the customer sees what they chose: inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, interior windows (per window), inside cabinets, laundry (per load) and a pet add-on.

Put the frequency (weekly, biweekly or monthly) next to the price so the per-visit amount is clear, and say whether supplies are included. For price ranges by house size, see the cleaning pricing guide; to price a first clean, use the deep cleaning price calculator.

Free quote generator questions, answered

Is the EosLog quote generator really free?

Yes. Generate as many quote PDFs as you want, free, with no account required. EosLog is the paid product behind the tool. Try the free PDF generator first, sign up for the full app only if you want to track quotes, send them by email, and get notified when customers view them.

Do I need an account to generate a PDF?

No. Fill out the form and click Generate PDF. You'll get a PDF plus a private link you can download, share with your customer, or email to yourself. We keep the quote for 90 days so that link keeps working, then delete it automatically. Import it into a free EosLog account if you want to keep and track it.

What format is the generated quote?

A standard PDF (Letter size) with your company logo, a clean line-item table, calculated totals with tax and discount, and your contact info in the header and footer. Print it, email it, or upload it anywhere.

Can I add my own logo to the quote?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP file under 2MB and it appears in the header of the PDF. The logo is stored only alongside your generated quote and is deleted with it after 90 days.

What's the difference between a quote and an invoice?

A quote proposes a price before the work: the scope, line items, and terms the customer approves. An invoice requests payment for work done: what was completed, what is owed, and how to pay. Same line items, different moment. Send the quote first; once the work is approved and finished, the invoice bills what was agreed.

How long does my quote link stay live?

Shareable quote links stay live for 90 days, then the quote is deleted automatically. Import it into a free EosLog account before then if you want to keep it.

What trades is the quote generator built for?

HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, cleaning, pest control, handyman, pressure washing, and property management, each with tailored line items and pricing prompts. The generic version works for any service business.

How do I price a residential cleaning job?

Most cleaners price by the hour ($30 to $50 per cleaner-hour) or by square foot ($0.10 to $0.20 in most markets), per the EosLog cleaning pricing guide. One-time deep cleans charge 1.5 to 2× the recurring rate because they take 2 to 3× longer.

Should a cleaning quote be hourly or flat?

Flat-rate for residential recurring service. It's predictable for the customer and profitable for you once you know the site. Hourly works better for commercial and one-time jobs where scope is unclear. Always cap hourly quotes with a "not to exceed" amount so customers feel safe agreeing.

What's the difference between a deep clean and a recurring clean?

Deep clean (2 to 6 hours): baseboards, inside appliances, window tracks, light fixtures, full bathroom scrub including grout. Recurring clean (1 to 2 hours): surface dust, vacuum, mop, bathrooms, kitchen counters. Most contracts require initial deep clean before going recurring.

Should I include supplies in the cleaning quote?

Yes, it's standard. Roll supplies into the price (typical cost: $5 to $15 per visit) so customers don't have to think about it. If you use premium or eco supplies, break them out as a separate line so customers can see what they're paying for.
