Commercial lawn care bid questions, answered

What should a commercial lawn care bid include?

A line for each service with the visits or rounds per year and the annual price, the total and the monthly invoice amount, what is not included, and the contract terms: length, renewal, price adjustment, change orders and insurance. Property managers compare bids line by line, so one lump-sum number is hard for them to use.

How do you price a commercial lawn care bid?

Measure the turf, beds and hard edges on a site walk and estimate the crew-hours each visit takes. Multiply by visits per year and your billing rate per crew-hour, add materials, then check the total against a per-acre benchmark before it goes out.

How long should a lawn care bid price be good for?

Thirty days from the bid date is a reasonable price hold. It gives the property manager time to compare bids without tying you to a price after labor, fuel or material costs move. The form has a line for whatever period you choose.

Should a commercial lawn care contract include a price increase?

For anything that renews, yes. A fixed percentage at each renewal, or an increase tied to the Consumer Price Index, keeps a multi-year account from losing money as wages and fuel go up.

Do I need an account to use this form?

No. Download the blank bid and print it, or fill it in online and download a PDF to send. Neither needs an account.

Send the bid as a quote the client signs online
