      What goes on a work order?

      Who and where (customer, phone, job address), what was asked for, the tasks and parts, who did the work and how long it took, and the customer's sign-off. Add prices if you bill from it.

      What's the difference between a work order and an invoice?

      A work order says what to do and records what was done. The invoice asks for payment. Many businesses turn the signed work order into the invoice.

      Can my customer sign on my phone?

      Yes. Hand them the phone and they sign in the box with a finger. The signature, their printed name and the date and time go on the PDF. In the US, the federal ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. 7001) generally gives electronic signatures the same legal weight as ink for most business records. This isn't legal advice.

      Is anything uploaded?

      No. The work order, the signature and your logo stay in your browser, and the PDF is made on your device. Your business details and the last work order number are saved in this browser so the next one is quicker.

      Can I print a blank one to fill in by hand?
